Alex has his own photo album! (Updated mostly monthly) Pictures of the little one and his family as they adjust to his invasion. Sequoias, Goodstock 2007, California Coast (September 13-18, 2007) Believe it or not, we had gone on other trips in the interim. But the baby's albums take precedence. Anyways, we vacationed on our way to Grandma Barbara's family reunion, and vacationed on the way down. Trip to Indian Country! (April 13-19, 2005) "Coming Soon" Travis and I went on vacation to northern Arizona, New Mexico, and southern Colorado and Utah. All sorts of fun places. See where Alex was conceived! Just kidding. Trip to Flagstaff, AZ and Sedona (April 23-25, 2004) I had mentioned to Travis that it'd be fun to get a telescope for his upcoming birthday. Little was I knowing what I was getting myself in for. We drove to Flagstaff for Astronomy Day, visited the Lowell Observatory, and drove back through Sedona and Phoenix (eating at Abuelo's) on the way back. Wild Animal Park Photos by Travis (October 4, 2003) We went to the Wild Animal Park to try out Travis's new lens for his digital camera. Although these pictures don't necessarily have much narrative interest, you can see the amount of detail captured by his camera. (This page subject to disappearance when he decides to remove it). Josh gets Body Clipped (September 7, 2003) Please don't call the ASPCA. He always got real hot when he was playing, so we thought it'd be nice to clip him. When Joanie and I came across clippers, and the choice of activities was that or doing something more productive.... Travis and Tara's Wedding (August 9, 2003) Pictures from all over the day. There are separate pages for the Ceremony, the Formal Pictures, the Reception Guests, and Reception activities. Start at the ceremony page and follow the links at the bottom of the pages to all the others. Wedding Rehearsal and Dinner (August 8, 2003) We asked my mom to take pictures using Travis's digital camera at the wedding, and the rehearsal day was a perfect day for her to practice. There's a few pictures from the practice, and then pictures from our fabulous dinner at Buster's. All About Caira (October 2001 - More or less Current) A Photo Journal of the cat. Because there was either that or working on schoolwork. Travis's LEGO Collection (September 25, 2002) Here are photographs of Travis's LEGO before Christmas, because sometimes people wonder or are amazed at how much he has. This though, is from before Christmas, when he got most of the 2002 line that he didn't already have. I signed him up for the LEGO Club over the telephone, and the lady asked how old my son was. 29 I replied, at the time Travis's age. (She just assumed I was signing up my son, for some reason). Baby Caira / Christmas Caira (November, December 2001) Caira is Travis's cat, and I think she's one of the most loved cats around. (Even more than Pixel.) She was born in August 2001, and her breeder dropped her off at our house the Thursday after we moved into Travis's new house. In these pictures, we tried dressing her up in a number of holiday outfits, but without much luck. (Travis made the photo album, so it's without commentary.) Spring 2001 Vacation through Southern Arizona and New Mexico This was the first vacation that Travis and I went on together, and we got along very well (for having nothing but each other's company for over 1000 miles). We visited lots of places, and had a generally good time. The Boat Move (August, 2001) Have you ever seen a boat being moved? Right next door to my (previous) work, "Captain Mike" built a big boat for him and his wife to float around the oceans on. Moving it from where it was built to the water was quite an adventure. There are lots of pictures of the boat, the move, and my coworkers. Baby Joshua (January / February 2002) On January 19, 2002, we trekked to Baker to retrieve Joshua, my little sheltie puppy. Caira wasn't greatly amused, but now reminisces about when she was the same size as the canid. There's also a picture of Travis's LEGO collection when it only took 4 bookshelves in the dining room. More pictures of the little ones. Despite Caira's initial antagonism at Joshua, they get along well. Here they are playing and sleeping so cute together. (They don't sleep together anymore.) We also had an amazing hail / snow storm in Mira Mesa, and I tried capturing it with the camera. Spring 2002 Vacation - Southern New England We went traipsing all over the place on our 9-day adventure. Click and see! Coronado Dog Beach, May 18, 2002 Joshua had grown up a bit since the last set of published images. Here we have him running around. Caira stayed home to create artwork (also shown). Autumn's Graduation & The Redwoods June 2002 We went to Santa Cruz for my sister Autumn's graduation. Afterwards, we went to the Winchester Mystery house, San Francisco, and then up to Ukiah to spend a couple days with Travis's parents. Bring Out Your Chinas March 2003 This is my favorite model horse show. I had forgotten Travis's camera on Saturday, but brought it on Sunday. While other people took pictures of the horses, I took pictures of the people. |
