Travis and Tara's New England Adventure
March 22 - 30, 2002

The next day, the four of us had breakfast, then Tracey took George back to the airport. Travis and Tara went to High Point, NJ, the tallest point in the state. Altitude: 1,803 feet. With the pylon, it's an additional 220 feet! This still makes it... not very high. On last years spring vacation, Tara and Travis went to the tallest point in Texas, which was at 8,749 feet - still not a respectable California mountain, but much more dramatic. Although 1,803 feet doesn't seem like much, there often wasn't a high point in other states (such as Rhode Island).

Afterwards, we went back to Tracey's, then to historic downtown Milford for a fantastic dinner!

Here is a view of the Delaware River from High Point. Rivers are a novelty for Travis and Tara, so generated a lot of excitement.

Here's a picture of High Point, the tallest point in New Jersey.

Twps (Prounounced twips) were another novelty for Travis and Tara to see. Another fine example on the use of abbreviations in the north-east.
Travis and Tara were a little puzzled at which years Wantage didn't progress..

Next Day: Hartford, Conn.
