cutekids
We saw these cute, happy little kids. Awwww.

The way in was steep.

things
Here are some thingies. Like most caves, pictures don't turn out real well. It was worth the price of admission, and we had a good time.

It was about lunch time when we left, and we decided to wait until we got to Carlsbad to eat. Unfortunately, we at at some horrid hometown-buffet like place.
BARFORAMA! Not at all like California's Carlsbad, with hundreds of good restaurants. We did see a grocery store Fry's - owned by the same family that has the Electronics.
I think the place we ate at was called Fry's also, but the grocery store attendant assured me it was no relation to the Grocery / Electronics Frys.

roswell
We made it to Roswell, where they've capitalized on the whole UFO phenomenon. Even the streetlights are made up like "Little Gray Men"

THE UFO MUSEUM was free, and featured all sorts of interesting UFO-like exhibits, including speculation on the Roswell Incident, homemade UFOs, Crop Circles,
and more.
guilty! ufos

We bought Tara's mom a UFO kite, and Tara a new driver's license (which has been accepted as identification at Toys R Us, and has stumped some waitresses).

We then drove to Alamogordo, but only because there wasn't any other place along the way to stop. (We had learned about hotels that looked too cheap.) We stayed at a Holiday
Inn Express, and ate dinner at a local mexican restaurant which was okay, but not very interesting. Tara speculates that there is one road through Alamogordo, and everything is within a block of it.

The next day: Three Rivers Petroglyphs, The Space Museum, and White Sands National Monument
