How The Boat Was Loaded

This was intriguing to me, and so it was photodocumented. At the time, it made perfect sense.

1) The trailer was backed until it reached the front of the boat.

2) The trailer has this slidey thing that would support the weight of the front of the boat and slide so that the trailer could back up underneath the whole boat.

3) Wearing offical boat hats, the fellows ran the slidey thingie up to underneath the boat.

4) Here's the slidey thingie almost in position.

5) "Shims" are added to make it the right height. Although I'm missing something, you can get the idea of how it works.

Boy, was that Exciting! Take me back to the boat day!

Is this supposed to make me sleepy? I'd rather look at shiny horses.
