March 2007.

See the cute baby? No you don't, because he's run across the house by the time you looked. Why was I so anxious for him to walk? I know, however, that I never asked for him to run.

    March 1.
Playing one of his favorite games - pull the candles and accoutrements out of the desk drawer and play with them. Here he is moving the candle from one candle holder to another.

March 1.
Did I say candle holders? I mean, drinking glasses. He's a two palmed drinker. Was I concerned about the fact those are glass holders? Yes. Am I willing to take them away from the baby? Not when he's playing so contentedly.

March 3.
Papa and Alex watching NooNoo's antics. Most nights, they watch one of their two shows together, just before Alex goes to sleep.

March 8.
Grandma Barbara visited this week, and before dropping her off at her house (the airport), we frolicked in a park on Harbor Island. Alex was showing off his walking skills. (These pictures were taken with my phone.)

March 19.
I had decided, after days of fighting with him, that I would let Alex play in the animals' food and water dishes, with the hope it would cause him to lose interest in them. Ummm. No. But he did get himself thoroughly wet. So I set him in his chair to watch TV while I went upstairs to get some dry clothes. He was looking reproachfully at me - it was less fun than splashing in the water bowl.

March 30.
We went to the tall ships in San Diego with Joanie, Liz, and her daughter, Maggie. Maggie seemed to like Alex. And has a comparable aged cousin. Alex is having fun at the steering wheel of a mini ship down below deck on the Star of India.

March 30.
"Are you sure you want to carry him, Maggie?"
She was sure. I believe they're on the Surprise / Rose here. Where they filmed that movie - not Titanic. M&CFSOTW

 March 31.
Alex's second trip to the beach. His first trip, all he would do is crawl into the ocean. Not stopping when he got wet, mind you. Did you see Travis's hair cut? Isn't it nice?

 Alex imitating the surfers...

...And plodding straight into the water again.
This time, at least, he had other interests.
Rocks and sand.

March 31.

Alex dances, on occassion. And at the beach, he prances. (The dancing is cute, too, but we don't have it on camera yet.)

March 31.
Playing with his adored sister. Both of them love the wand. Alex flails it around, but not with as much precision as Caira would prefer. Still, he's always willing to play with her, which counts for a lot, to a cat. They do get along well, although I was peeved when Caira thought Alex should play with her at around 10pm the other night... she went in his room and started talking to him. Naughty Kitty!

Oh, and here's a picture of him with his teeth that all came in!
teethy grin
